Not your average piano bar man, Alex Davis holds a degree in music composition from the University of South Carolina, has worked live sound and as a recording engineer, and has been part of the indie/jazz outfit Passing Worth and the more prog-sounding Miles to Go. Davis has developed an individual style both in his own songwriting and covers of popular hits, both of which he plays at solo outings.

This is one of the first songs I ever wrote and I still love to play it. Here is a live performance of Juliana from The Caberet at Germano's Piattini in Baltimore, Maryland's Little Italy.

I wrote this song at the beginning of January and submitted it to NPR's Tiny Desk Contest.

Visit MusicOfAlexDavis.com for more! I like to think of covering artists as an opportunity to immerse into the work they've created and express it with my voice. I love exploring the song from the inside and find the sections of poetry that speak to me and moments of music that move me.
